7 No-BS Tips for Exercising After Having a Baby

Starting to work out postpartum can feel like a mission. What even is my body doing? But you don’t need a fancy plan—just some real talk and these tips.

  1. Ask the Pros: Get the green light from your doc before you dive in—your body’s been through a lot!

  2. Easy Does It: Start with stuff that doesn’t feel like a punishment (hello, Pilates).

  3. Pelvic Floor First: Don’t skip this—it’s like the foundation of your mum-bod empire.

  4. Chill on the Bouncing: Your body’s not ready for CrossFit just yet. Stick to moves that don’t scream ouch.

  5. Read the Room (AKA Your Body): If something feels off, it probably is. Slow down, Mama.

  6. Hydrate, Don’t Wait: Water = life, especially when you’re breastfeeding or just trying to survive.

  7. Make it Fun (or Sneaky): Baby crawling? Tummy time Pilates. Playtime and a workout in one!

You don’t have to be Insta-perfect. Move a little, rest a lot, and give yourself grace—you’re crushing it.
